Gifted by Davines Davines LOVE Smoothing Shampoo aims to tackle frizz head-on, and it does a pretty solid job. The shampoo is a rich shampoo with a creamy texture, nice lather, and made my hair feel clean without stripping it dry. It's infused with olive extract, which is key for smoothing and adding moisture. After using it, I noticed my hair was softer, shinier, and significantly less frizzy. The scent is a total win – light, fresh, and not overpowering.
I have very thick, wavy hair that is kinky curly and gets frizzy very easily. This Davines Smoothing Shampoo has done a great job of tameing my hair without weighting it down. I love the smell if this shampoo and it makes styling super easy! My hair stays straight all day even in the Florida humidity.
This was my first time trying a shampoo from Davines, and overall I liked it. The shampoo feels very gentle, lathers nicely, and cleans the scalp well without making the hair feel dry. I think it works great for everyday use. I have curly, porous hair, and it worked well for my hair type. The only thing that personally didn’t work for me was the scent. I first tried Davines years ago when I was introduced to the brand by birch box. I remember loving the samples of products I received. I was so excited to be reintroduced to the brand again and to have the opportunity to try some products again. This shampoo has been doing wonders for my hair. It cleanses it, while also leaving it looking and feeling smooth, shiny, and soft. Regardless of how I style my hair, this shampoo does a great job of keeping the frizz away. I have enjoyed this shampoo from Davines. It has a really nice, fresh scent and lathered up very well. It did a great job on my thick and somewhat frizzy hair. My hair was easy to style and was nice and smooth and actually stayed that way! I didn’t even need to flat iron like I usually do!

I live in a dryer area and I found that this shampoo helps with controlling my frizz and leaving my hair feeling silky smooth. It is also gentle on the scalp so it doesn't irritate it.

Love smoothing shampoo is amazing! It tames my frizzy hair, which is also very thick, and gives it shine. Lasts thru the humid Florida days too. The combo of the shampoo and conditioner is magic. I occasionally use the smoothing mask as well. This has been my go to reduction now for several years after struggling to find a shampoo and conditioner to handle the frizzies.

Enough already with the “gifted by Davines” reviews. The new reformulations are just not that good. The products are not performing as the previous versions and folks are catching on. I’m truly so heartbroken. Product quality has declined but price tag remains the same. I’ve had to move on from Davines after being a dedicated customer for many years.

After receiving this shampoo (gifted) I will say its decent on its own but l've noticed the fit works great along side other frizz/smoothing hair products. It definitely smooths and adds shine immediately after blowdrying/styling & it smells AMAZING but after being out for a few hours in the Florida humidity, this shampoo does not hold up on its own. I have very thick/coarse hair and my frizz is intense… this shampoo helped but I expected more. I enjoy using it with my other frizz taming products which provided better results for me!

I’m a big fan of the OI range from Davines, so I had high hopes for this shampoo. Unfortunately, it didn’t work well with my hair. After washing, my hair still felt heavy and oily, almost like the shampoo didn’t fully come out. I can still tell it’s a quality product, just not the best match for me personally.
